The Indonesian Parrot Project has been active and working in Indonesia for almost twelve years. This video describes our mission and goals and passion to protect Indonesian parrots and cockatoos in the wild.
We are proud to announce the development of a collaboration with the World Parrot Trust. Specifically, we will be
working together to conserve the highly endangered Yellow-crested (Lesser Sulphur) cockatoos.
Unique to this collaboration is the fact that our approach will aim to conserve selected populations of each of the four subspecies :
C. sulphurea sulphurea (on Sulawesi Island); C. s. citronocristata (on Sumba Island); C.s. abbotti (on Masakambing Island);
and C. s. parvula (on Nusa Penida or Komodo Islands). This collaboration will also allow us
to continue and expand our "Conservation-Awareness-Pride" Programs while simultaneously adding new in-field initiatives,
such as maximizing breeding success and combatting trapping.
We at IPP are delighted at this collaboration with WPT and look forward to achieving through it, new strides in the conservation of these
cockatoos.

At last! After eight years, we are excited to announce the publication of “The Flight of Cornelius Cockatoo: A Fable for Children and Adults”.
This story describes the adventures of Cornelius (aka "Corky"), a young Salmon-crested cockatoo, who is sent to America by his parents to avoid "The Menace" (a threat to all cockatoos on Seram)....
